Kelly Vieira was born and raised in Rhode Island and she is honored to return to her community to serve with the College Advising Corps. In 2011, she graduated from William E. Tolman High School and went on to attend Tufts University in Boston, MA. At Tufts, she earned a Political Science degree in hopes of eventually working to create better policies in education. She was also President of the Roosevelt Institute Chapter at Tufts, a student-run policy think tank. She aims to use her personal experience with the college transition to guide students on their own educational journeys. As a first generation college student and child of Cape Verdean immigrants, she is excited to work with students who may be facing the same institutional hurdles that she did. This year, Kelly is proud to return to William E. Tolman High School as a College Adviser.
