Natasha Rodriguez was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated in May of 2013 from Providence College. During her second year of college, Natasha went to Dominican Republic to teach English in a school where the community needed a lot of help. That was an amazing experience that brought her closer to service. Natasha believes it is always best to go back to one’s own community to help make it a better place, and that's what she plans to do! Because Natasha was raised in Providence, she experienced firsthand the poor access to information regarding the college application and financial aid processes in the public high schools. Natasha will be serving her second year as a College Adviser at Woonsocket High School in Woonsocket, RI, and is looking forward to strengthening the college going culture at her school. As Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” She knows that she will not solve the greater issues related to college access, but she will be helping reduce the problem, one student at a time, by getting them into college or helping them figure out their future endeavors.
