Unit 4: Grow
Social entrepreneurs work in an arena of wicked problems: systemic injustices that are immense and interlocking.
If we define social innovation as transformative, if we define the social entrepreneur as an agent of not just good today but permanent change for generations to come, then scale - both depth and breath of impact - becomes not just an ideal but a necessity.
This last unit addresses the question of how to grow and sustain not just your venture but your impact, whether it lies within or beyond your organization. How do you build a movement and a culture to power your efforts and spark an ecosystem around you? How do you commit to learning from mistakes, identifying accomplishments, and translating these insights into more effective action? How do you actively build towards a world where your efforts are no longer needed?
