The Japanese Cultural Association is hosting an event on March 10th, 7pm to 9pm on the 3rd floor of the Science Library to mark the 3rd anniversary of the 3.11 earthquake. This year the Japanese Cultural Association is planning to host a documentary/ illustration video screening, which we hope will facilitate the reflection of our use of nuclear energy in society. Thanks to the tremendous global support that we have been receiving, recovery is on the way in Japan, and we wanted to take this opportunity to not only remember the tragedy that happened three years ago, but also allow for forward-looking discussion. We are hoping to capture the event on video to create our own short record of how the viewing of the documentary and clips could impact the thoughts of the viewers on the matter that is a global agenda for the future generation. We welcome all those interested in any aspect of Japan’s nuclear disaster, or the use of nuclear energy as a whole in society, to participate in this event.
