Ada Lovelace Day 2013 edit-a-thon, New England - Brown University (remote participants also welcome): Now in its fifth year, Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM). Participants from around New England are invited to gather at Brown University to edit and create Wikipedia entries on women who have made significant contributions to the STEM fields. Anne Fausto-Sterling and Maia Weinstock will be speaking. If you don't know how to make Wikipedia entries—don't worry—WE WILL TEACH YOU. Come and go as you can. Bring a laptop. We have a list of people. But bring your own names to write about.
