Bats exhibit the most amazing flight behavior. They are agile and maneuverable and are unique in the animal kingdom with respect to their wing structure and flight capabilities Our research focuses on describing, explaining, modeling and mimicking the amazing flight capabilities of Bats. Our group consists of faculty and students drawn from Biology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computuer Science and we study every aspect ranging from taking high speed videos of real bats during flight to building robotic bat wings that we test in our wind tunnel.
