How to Get Here
Providence, Rhode Island's capital city, is ideally located with easy access to major east coast cities and desirable New England destinations. The city is just 50 miles from Boston and 200 from New York City, and is served by downtown Amtrak and Commuter Rail stations (1 mile from the Medical School) and a major airport (just 15 minutes away).
Alpert Medical School is located at 222 Richmond Street in Providence's growing Knowledge District, just down College Hill from the main campus of Brown University. The Medical School's Office of Admissions and Financial Aid is situated on the first floor of the Alpert Medical School building .
T. F. Green Airport (PVD) is located about ten miles south of Providence. The most economical way of transportation to the campus is by shuttle (Airport Limousine Co.), which leaves the airport on the hour and arrives on campus about 15 minutes later.
The Peter Pan bus terminal is located to the north of downtown and offers many stops at Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence. The Greyhound bus terminal is located in Kennedy Plaza. From there, you can either walk .7 mi to the Medical School building at 222 Eddy Street (about 15 minutes), or take a bus or cab.
The interchange of I-95 and I-195 in Providence was recently relocated, having an impact on the area around the Medical School building. Please use Google maps for directions.
