The Department of Politcal Science offers a combined A.M. / Ph.D progam. There is no terminal Masters program.

The deadline to apply is December 15th. Plan for your materials to arrive at the Graduate School by that date. Please upload all supporting materials to the online application. If you must mail hard copies, please send them directly to the Graduate School.

The Brown GRE code is 3094. Scores are valid for five years. GRE averages from admitted students are not available.
The Brown TOEFL code is also 3094. For more information on minimum score requirements, please review the Grad School's website on Language Proficiency.
Application materials: In order to apply, (1) you must fill out the online application, (2) upload copies of your transcript(s), (3) upload a personal statement also called a statement of purpose, (4) upload a writing sample of no more than 50 pages - it should be a good example of your writing, (5) have three letters of recommendation, (6) submit GRE scores, and (7) if applicable, submit TOEFL scores.
