Alumnus Pongou thanks Professors Foster and Serrano

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] - Roland Pongou, former PSTC trainee, received the Young Researcher Award of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottowa, where he is an assistant professor of Economics.  In his acknowledgement, he credits Economics Professors Andrew Foster and Robert Serrano for his research training, "part of the work that is recognized by this award was initiated during my doctoral studies at Brown University. I thank my advisors Andrew Foster and Roberto Serrano for teaching me how to become a researcher."

Ottawa presents this award annually to a member of the faculty who has earned distinction for his or her unit as a result of the importance and exceptional characteristics of his or her research work.
