An integrated cross-institutional two-week program of study for high school students that provides rigorous academic and creative opportunities to learn how to be an innovative entrepreneur.
This two-week program integrates the philosophy of Berklee’s Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship that the creative process and the entrepreneurial journey share the same DNA, with Brown University’s long tradition in developing critical thinking based in history, theory, and practice.
This summer, students will learn from creative and social entrepreneurs, and consider what it means to think critically and innovate in a variety of art disciplines. Students will prototype a hands-on project, and develop the startup mindset needed to be dynamic thinkers and makers. Over the course of the two weeks, students live on both the Brown campus in Providence, RI, and Berklee campus in Boston, MA, experiencing two college environments and the exciting artistic worlds each inhabit and help foster.
The program will begin with a 1-week Summer@Brown course on the Brown University campus in Providence, Rhode Island and conclude with a 1-week course at the Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship on Berklee's Boston campus.
Students earn a joint certificate from Berklee’s Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship and Brown Pre-College Programs.
