Weekly schedules, workshops, student organizations, the campus map, weekend trips, and more.
Each week students have fun and make new friends when they take advantage of popular social activities on campus, including dances, movies, karaoke, talent shows, yoga, dance instruction, and much more. All events and activities are free. In addition, Residential Advisors plan two weekly activities for their floors designed to foster community and help students transition to college life.
The BeU Lounge
The diversity programs held in the BeU lounge are a gateway that provide diversity and inclusion education, resources, tools and forums to pre-college students. We realize that our world’s demographics are rapidly changing. Therefore, Residential Advisors assigned to this option will facilitate workshops and roundtable discussions to help students comfortably navigate the diverse world in which we live.
Trips to Popular Destinations
Excursions to popular nearby destinations including Boston, Newport, area beaches, shopping outlets and the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Museum are offered on weekends. Students are responsible for food and admission tickets on off-campus trips. Upon arrival to destinations, students are encouraged to stay in small groups and given information about things to do and see and the return time and location. While RA chaperones are stationed at key locations, students explore on their own throughout the day.
