Reserving Space at 200 Dyer Street
SPS offers a variety of classroom and meeting spaces to house almost any size group. These spaces are available for use when not booked for other events. Each room is well equipped with advanced technology and plenty of whiteboards. To view more detailed information on each room, please click on the space name.

Members of the Brown Community: Please complete the School of Professional Studies Room Request Form. Your request will be reviewed and a response provided within three (3) business days. If confirmed, you will receive specific information on your reserved space(s).
Student groups: Please contact the Student Activities Office in advance of placing your space request. Once you have approval from the Student Activities Office, please complete the School of Professional Studies Room Request Form. Your request will be reviewed and a response provided within three (3) business days. If confirmed, you will receive a welcome note and specific information on your reserved space(s).
Non-Brown events: Please contact Brown Event & Conference Services for assistance. Any requests sent to SPS will be forwarded to Brown Event & Conference Services before the request is reviewed.
Hours: SPS is open from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Events in the evening and/or on weekends will be considered and may be approved with appropriate security details established.
Building Security & Access: 200 Dyer is a secure building that is locked 24/7. However, options for unlocking are available and should be noted in the School of Professional Studies Room Request Form. Brown departments and/or administrative units are asked to place a staff member at the security desk located at the 200 Dyer entry to confirm only event participants enter. This desk is fully functional with a phone, computer, and printer.
Catering & Facilities: You are welcome to order food for your event using Brown Catering. Please note you are responsible for placing these orders. Vending machines offering cold sodas and light snacks are available between SPS Classrooms 101 and 122. If you place a catering order, please remember to order a custodial cleaning from Brown Facilities Management. If you are a non-Brown organization please consult with Brown University Event & Conference Services.
Furniture: You are welcome to configure your reserved room in whatever manner best suits your need – please just return the furniture to its original set up before departing. Please allow time in advance of and after your event for your group to set-up/breakdown or you are welcome to place a Brown Facilities Management order for set-up/breakdown. If you are a non-Brown organization please consult with Brown University Event & Conference Services. Additional classroom tables and chairs are available in a storage closet. Should you need more tables and/or chairs, please see reception for access to the closet. SPS also offers two sturdy moveable coat racks and wood hangers - please see reception for access to the storage closet where they are located.
Parking & Directions
Parking: Brown faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use the University’s shuttle; the closest stops are Dyer & Pine and 222 Richmond Street (the Medical School). Please remember to carry your Brown ID! There is a parking lot located just before the building. The rate is $10/day and must be paid by credit or debit card upon exiting - no cash is accepted. Please provide SPS with an estimated participant count at least one week prior to your event, so arrangements with the parking management company can be made to accommodate the extra parkers.
