Educational Materials about HIV & HIV testing

The following videos are intended to provide information to those who are undergoing testing for HIV. They contain Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended information about HIV transmission, HIV prevention, the meaning of possible HIV test results, as well as information about HIV testing methods.

Is a 15.5-minutes video and contains information about conventional, rapid HIV testing, and acute HIV infection and testing.The production was supported by a partnership of clinicians and researchers at Brown University and Northeastern University. It was developed with the assistance and feedback of clients, patients, and staff from clinical and non-clinical settings from six cities throughout the United States.

Detailed information about the development of the video and the results of a pilot trial demonstrating the effectiveness of the video is available at: www.biomedcentral.com. The video was produced through a partnership of clinicians and researchers at Brown University and the Harvard School of Public Health along with professionals from Abbott Diagnostics, Inc.
