Tufts Healthplan Foundation

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation of Watertown, Mass., announced Jan. 7 that it has given Brown University a $149,996 grant for a program called “Healthy Aging Communities.” The program “aims to improve quality of life for Rhode Island older adults through nutrition education and healthier meal options and by enhancing mobility with a physical activity program,” according to the Foundation. The public health and medical program will be offered at St. Elizabeth’s Community’s assisted living facility.
