Syon Bhanot is a doctoral student at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) of Government, where he studies behavioral economics and decision making. His research focuses on field experiments that use behavioral concepts to alter policy-relevant decision making at the individual level. His ongoing projects explore decisions around savings, loan repayment, and conservation behavior.

Bhanot has experience working with development organizations, having worked for or consulted with the International Rescue Committee, UNICEF, and the World Bank. He teaches econometrics and public policy at the Taubman Center and is an instructor at Harvard College and HKS. Bhanot is a three-time winner of the HKS Dean's Award for Excellence in Student Teaching.
