Taubman Center lecture on C-SPAN:

The Taubman Center received national exposure on C-SPAN, which broadcast the Center's December 10, 2012 luncheon lecture. Michael Dimock, Associate Director of Research, Pew Research Center presented "Polling and the 2012 Presidential Election," a look back at the issues, events and values that shaped the 2012 presidential election.

September 2012 Providence Poll: Voters Worry Over City Finances

Most Providence voters — nearly 86 percent — are concerned about the city’s budget issues but are divided on suggested ways to reform the current pension plan, according to a recent public opinion survey conducted by the Taubman Center at Brown University. The survey was undertaken in conjunction with the annual Thomas J. Anton/Frederick Lippitt Urban Affairs Conference, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Brown.

Richard Arenberg’s Op-Ed Piece in Boston Globe

Professor Richard Arenberg, expert on Senate rules and Adjunct Professor in Public Policy at the Taubman Center had an opinion piece published in the June 13, 2012 edition of the Boston Globe. Arenberg wrote in support of the filibuster as essential element of Senate procedure. "What we have seen in recent years is bad behavior, no doubt, wrote Arenberg, “But the solution for partisan bad behavior is not rewriting the Senate rules."
