Visit A Class at Brown. We offer the opportunity for prospective students to attend a class, please check back in September for the fall 2014 class schedule.
Physical Science tours are designed to give prospective students a glimpse of what it is like to study Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Math, Applied Math and Geology at Brown. The Physical Science tour does not cover life sciences such as Biology or Neuroscience. The tour visits classrooms and lab spaces and typically lasts about 95 minutes. Please note that prospective students attending a science tour are limited to one guest per student. Also, children under the age of 12 may not participate in the tour. School of Engineering tours are available during the academic year. Tours depart from the Barus and Holley lobby (184 Hope Street). Please check back in late September for the fall 2014 tour schedule.
Street Parking: Visitors may find metered street parking on the streets in and around campus, which costs 25 cents for every 12 minutes. Please pay close attention to signs that are marked for Brown-specific spaces -- these are reserved for Brown employees only. Please do not park in these spaces. Cars parked in these spaces without Brown University parking permits may be towed at the owner's expense. For additional parking and direction information please click here.
- Groups are welcome, but we do not offer special accommodations for group tours. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of a session or tour.
- For security and safety reasons, campus tours do not enter student dormitories.
- We are unable to securely store personal belongings such as luggage.
- We do not conduct individual interviews on campus due to the large number of potential candidates.
