Confronting Historic Wrongs: A University's Dilemma
A lecture by Brown University President Emerita Ruth J. Simmons on the occasion of the Opening of the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice. Guests are invited to attend a reception and the dedication of the Center located at 94 Waterman Street immediately following the lecture (see 5:00 pm listing for more information).

Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice Building Dedication & Opening and Black Experiences at Brown: A Visual Narrative Exhibition Opening Reception
Visit the new home of the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice at 94 Waterman Street (between Thayer and Brown Streets). This 19th century home has been renovated for the Center and includes an exhibition gallery, an adapted replica of a slave garden, and a stunning painting on a glass wall. Join us
for the opening reception and the exhibition, Black Experiences at Brown: a visual narrative, part of Brown's semi quincentenary celebration. This interactive exhibition chronicles the evolution of African Americans at Brown.

Grab a cup of coffee, and meet key administrators responsible for all aspects of the undergraduate experience at Brown. Dean of the College Maud S. Mandel and Vice President of Campus Life Margaret Klawunn will discuss initiatives in academic and campus life. This event is a great opportunity to ask questions about advising, the residential experience at Brown, learning in and outside the classroom, and more. Light refreshments will be available.

Brown’s faculty, staff, students and alumni share their expertise regarding topics of widespread interest to create an ongoing educational link with the University. Shuttles to the Brown Stadium
Shuttle buses will run continuously to the Brown Stadium from 11:00 AM until one hour after the game ends. Shuttles will pick up at the following locations: (in order) Thayer Street & Bowen Street, Power Street Garage, Thayer Street & Charles Field Street, Wayland Arch, Faunce Arch, Hope Street at Nelson Fitness Center, Lloyd Avenue at Lot 89/90 entrance. For more information on shuttles from Athletics click here.

Brown Football vs. Cornell
Come out and support the Bears as Brown Football takes on Ivy League rival Cornell! Tickets are available for a reduced price of $10 if purchased in advance online. Please use the code "BROWNFAM14" to receive the discounted price. Tickets can also be purchased at the stadium on game day for $17. Your student is admitted free with his/her Brown ID. There is a concession stand inside the stadium. Shuttles will be running to and from campus from 11:00 AM until one hour after the game ends. If you are interested in attending this event, you are encouraged to purchase your tickets in advance.

Sophomores and their families will have an opportunity to explore critical topics such as academic concentrations, career interests, study abroad programs, and the best use of Brown’s open curriculum.

Understanding Brown's Commencement
Brown's Commencement is an exciting event, but it can sometimes raise a number of questions for families looking to plan in advance. Members of Brown's Commencement staff will be on hand to provide an overview of Commencement activities, tips for families and guests, and answer key questions about this important weekend. This session is geared toward families of seniors, but it is open to all.

Brown Men's Soccer vs. Cornell
Brown Men's Soccer will take on Cornell in an exciting Ivy League soccer match. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at brownbears.com or at the gate. Doors open at 2:30 pm. Your student is admitted free with his/her Brown ID. There is a concession stand inside the stadium.

Family Weekend Keynote Address
Barry Sternlicht '82, P'16 will be the 2014 Family Weekend Keynote Address. To read a full biography of Barry Sternlicht click here.
The keynote is often a popular event for families. If the auditorium reaches capacity, some simulcast seating will be available in the Salomon Center and the event will also be live streamed at http://www.brown.edu/web/livestream/
