After self-assessment and research, you’re ready to begin applying for jobs and internships. Now is the time to review, improve, and refine your online presence –- including your LinkedIn profile – and begin drafting résumés, cover letters, personal statements, writing samples, and more. It’s also a good idea to continue to network by making connections with alumni and other experts in your target field and to continue to practice and refine your networking skills.
CareerLAB provides advising, programs and online resources to help you develop these job and internship search skills.
- Résumés, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles
- Networking and interviews
- In addition, throughout the semester, CareerLAB staff host Career Pathways Speaker Series and JanLAB events where we bring alumni to campus to talk about their experiences, share advice and network with students.
