BrownConnect and Other Internship Programs


BrownConnect is a new university-wide initiative aimed at providing Brown students with more summer internship opportunities, more funding to ensure these opportunities are accessible to all students regardless of financial circumstance, and more connections with alumni and parents.

Careers in the Common Good Summer in New York City (CCG in NYC) supports students interested in working with nonprofits, public service programs, and government or entrepreneurial ventures devoted to serving the common good. iProv places qualified students in summer internships that align with community programs sponsored by the Swearer Center and Brown University. First-years are eligible to participate. Click here to read more about iProv.

Ittleson Foundation Summer Internship

The Ittleson Foundation Summer Internship provides a $7,000 summer stipend to a Brown student interested in learning about philanthropy and the non-profit sector. The Intern works closely with the Foundation’s Executive Director while gaining insight into the fields of the Environment, AIDS, and Mental Health. This internship is open to all first-year, sophomore, and junior Brown students. Graduating seniors are not eligible.

Peer-to-Peer Summer Opportunities Fair

Looking for a great summer internship or research position? Curious where other Brown students have lived during the summer and found funding? This annual event held before winter break connects under and upperclassmen to share their experiences and includes students who completed internships in a wide range of career fields, both in the US and abroad.  Keep an eye out for information about the 2014 fair during the fall semester.
