Directory Information (and Suppression)

Brown University employs an electronic directory that can be accessed on the University's home page to locate students, faculty, and staff of the University.  Directory listings for students include name, degree level, e-mail address, and campus postal box. All of these items are included in the University's definition of directory or public information according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).  Students who have questions  should consult the Office of the Registrar 

To Suppress Directory Information from Public View

Students who wish to suppress their directory information from public view may do so by logging into the Personal Information section of their Banner record at selfservice.brown.edu.
