Being the parent or guardian of an international college student comes with both rewards and challenges. At Brown, there is a strong network of academic and campus life offices, deans, advisors, staff, and peer advisors (for undergradutes, this includes the International Mentoring Program) devoted to support your son or daughter's experience on Brown's campus.
While International Orientation is primarily for undergraduate students, there are a few sessions open to families, including a welcome brunch on Thursday morning.
All incoming undergraduate students receive a copy of the Guide to Brown for Students and Their Families. International students, whether admitted early or regular, typically receive the Guide in a packet mailed in mid to late March. We encourage you to review the section in the Guide for parents and guardians.
