Course Description: We are deluged with information about the environment and the dire consequences of human behavior. Climate change, environmental degradation, fossil fuel dependence, unsustainable agricultural practices, and related issues have a personal, as well as a political, impact as we try to understand and respond appropriately. In this course, we will discuss the science of climate change; “carbon footprints” and why they matter; and the changes/choices that we can make in our daily lives to reduce our negative impact on the environment.
