How to Apply to Summer Session Credit Courses

How to Apply

Prospective students must apply for admission to Summer@Brown Pre-College programs (see details below). For most programs, there is no application deadline. However, courses fill quickly, so students are encouraged to apply early.

Completed applications are submitted to the admissions committee for review. When evaluating applicants for the Summer@Brown Pre-College program, Brown looks for academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and a readiness for participation in an independent academic and living environment.

Applicants will be notified by email when their application is complete, and are notified of the admissions committee's decision by email, usually within two weeks of the application complete date.

Accepted students must confirm their attendance with a $300 non-refundable program deposit. Once this deposit is received, students may enroll through Brown University's online course selection and enrollment web site.

Student applicants are encouraged to review our Financial Policies.

Course space is limited, and courses fill quickly - students are encouraged to apply for admission early to have the best chance of enrolling in first-choice courses.

Please note: We continue to add Summer Session Credit Courses to our 2013 catalog. If you have questions about courses, please email us: summer@brown.edu
