Application Questions

Do I need a connect.brown.edu account?

Why is it important to have only one connect.brown.edu account?

Our application system will not accept duplicate records or accounts. It is very important that each applicant create ONLY ONE connect.brown.edu account and submit the application using the same username and password. Parents wishing to follow the process may submit their email in place of the student's. If you are having difficulty, please DO NOT create a second account, instead please call us for assistance at (401) 863-7900 and we will be happy to help you.

I have forgotten my password or I am having trouble logging in to my connect.brown.edu account.

How do I make sure my application is complete?

Our application system will send you an email letting you know that your application is complete.

Students who apply using connect.brown.edu can check their application completion status online by visiting: http://connect.brown.edu.

Summer Session Credit Course and Pre-College Study Abroad program applicants should contact our office at 401-863-7900 or email summer@brown.edu.  Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.

How do I find out my admissions status?

We make admissions decisions on completed applications within 10 business days. If you are accepted, you will receive a letter and an email from our admissions office.

Payment Questions:

How do I pay my application fee?

After you submit your online application, you will receive a confirmation email - this usually requires a period of no more than 24 hrs to process. Once you receive your confirmation email, log into your account at http://connect.brown.edu and click the 'Make a Payment' tab. Students may also elect to pay by check (see instructions below).

Summer Session Credit Course applicants must pay by check.

How do I pay my $300 program deposit?

Students who apply using connect.brown.edu may pay their $300 program deposit online. Visit http://connect.brown.edu and click the 'Payment' tab. Students may also elect to pay by check (see instructions below).

Summer Session Credit program applicants must pay by check.

How do I pay my full program fee?

Invoices will be mailed to all enrolled Summer@Brown Pre-College students beginning on February 10th, and on or about the 10th of each month thereafter. Payment is due upon receipt and can be paid by check or online in form of Online Check/ACH (Automated Clearing House). We do not accept program fee payments by credit cards or by phone.

Why can't I see the 'payment' tab in my connect.brown.edu account?

Please allow one business day for processing. Brown's Central Identification Management System requires a business day to process your newly created account. After this processing period, the 'payment' tab should appear in your account.
