Methods of Applied Mathematics I

Methods of Applied Mathematics I (APMA 0330)

Instructor: Vladimir Dobrushkin

Mathematical techniques involving differential equations used in the analysis of physical, biological and economic phenomena. Emphasis on the use of established methods, rather than rigorous foundations. First and second order differential equations. Topics covered include series solutions of second order linear equations, the Laplace transform and numerical methods.

Prerequisites: MATH 0100, or knowledge of basic calculus required.
