Methods of Applied Mathematics II
Methods of Applied Mathematics II (APMA 0340)
Instructor: Vladimir Dobrushkin
This course covers techniques of ordinary differential equations not covered by APMA 0330 with emphasis on applications. Systems of first order linear differential equations as well as nonlinear differential equations and stability will be presented. Basic partial differential equations of heat conduction, wave propagation, and potential theory plus basic concepts of probability and statistics will be explored.
Prerequisite: MATH 0100 or thorough knowledge of calculus required.
