GRAD CENTER
The Grad Center Multimedia Lab facility consists of
two rooms: a computer cluster (room 121) and a classroom
(room 123). Both rooms are accessible from the same
entrance.
The lab is on the ground floor of the Graduate Center,
Tower E, located at 92 Thayer St. (toward the south
end), between Charlesfield and Power St. It is adjacent
to the Women Writers Project and STG, but has its
own entrance.
Directions: On campus
* From Faunce Arch (on the
Main Green), turn right onto Waterman and walk down
to the next intersection, which will be Thayer Street.
* Turn right on Thayer. Walk along Thayer (you'll
pass the Sciences Library tower on your left), past
George Street, until you get to Charlesfield. The
Grad Center will be the hulking brick building ahead
of you on the right.
* Take the first entrance in the brick wall, marked
Graduate Center Tower E, 92 Thayer St. You'll see
a spiral staircase beyond three sets of stairs. The
door to the Multimedia Lab is to your left, at the
foot of the spiral staircase. It is the same entrance
as the Piano Lounge.
Directions: Off campus
From the North
* 95 South, through Providence (past
the State House) to 195 East. Note that the exit
is to the left.
* Follow directions from 195 East.
From the South
* 95 North, to 195 East. This is before you enter
Providence, and after the oil tanks on the right.
* Follow directions from 195 East.
From 195 East
* Exit 2 on 195 East, called Wickenden St. Exit.
* Left onto Wickenden St. as you come off the exit.
You should be going under the highway overpass. If
you find yourself going over a bridge, you are going
in the wrong direction. Make a U Turn as soon as
possible.
* Left onto Brook St. at the second light. You will
see Atomic Appliance on the corner.
* Take the 6th left, onto Power St., then the first
right, onto Thayer St. and park.
From 195 West
* Take the Gano St. exit (This is the first Providence
exit. Be careful, it is a quick merge.)
* Go right as you come off the exit onto Gano St.
* Take a left at the flashing light (6 blocks). This
is Power St.
* Go up Power St. for 6 blocks (counting streets
that are not through streets).
* Take a right onto Thayer St. and park.

LIST ART CENTER

The List Multimedia Lab facility is in room 512 and
consists of a computer cluster with a small classroom
attached at the back and offices above.
The lab is on the fifth floor of List Art Center at
64 College St. (the north end), near Prospect St. and
the Van Wickle Gates.
Directions: On campus
* From Faunce Arch (on the Main
Green), turn left onto Waterman and walk down to
the next intersection, which will be Prospect Street.
* Turn left on Prospect. Walk one block to College
Street. The Van Wickle Gates will be on your left.
* Take a right onto College. List Art Center is the
second building on the right. The stairs and elevator
to the Lab are directly across from the main entrance,
next to the security guard booth.
Directions: Off campus
From the North
* 95 South, through Providence (past the
State House) to 195 East. Note that the exit is to
the left.
* Follow directions from 195 East.
From the South
* 95 North, to 195 East. This is before you enter Providence,
and after the oil tanks on the right.
* Follow directions from 195 East.
From 195 East
* Exit 1 on 195 East, called ??? Exit.
* Go 6 blocks (???) to College St.
* Take a right of College St. Cross over the canal
and head up the hill. Park after Benefit and a large
curve in the road.
From 195 West
* Take the Gano St. exit (This is the first Providence
exit. Be careful, it is a quick merge.)
* Go right as you come off the exit onto Gano St.
* Take a left at the flashing light (6 blocks). This
is Power St.
* Go up Power St. (9 blocks counting streets that are
not through streets).
* Take a right onto Benefit St. and continue to College
St. (5 blocks).
* Turn right on College St. and park.
