In order to enable the electronic services for which you are eligible at Brown, you need to activate your Brown account.

What does account activation do?

- Sets your authentication password
This is the password you will use for most electronic services
- Establishes your official Brown email address
This is the email address to which Brown University will send official communication and notices
- Allows you to choose where you would like your official Brown email delivered
You can choose to have your Brown email address forwarded to a different account, or you can choose to use Brown's email servers for this
