MyStuff

Introduction

MyStuff is a central location on the network for students to store up to 250MB of data. It is not necessary to install any software on your computer to use MyStuff. The instructions below will guide you through the steps to connect to your home directory in MyStuff using a web browser (on or off campus), or a direct connection from your Mac or Windows computer (on campus or by VPN).

Before You Begin

Your home directory in MyStuff will only be activated after you have enabled it in your account settings. To enable MyStuff for your account, log into http://webapps.brown.edu/myaccount and select MyStuff from the options on the left. Follow the onscreen instructions. Note: if you have not changed your password since April 2005, you must first choose the Change Password option on the left to reset your password. Resetting your password ensures that it will be synchronized properly for use with the new service.
