Student Software

Introduction

Discounted software such as Microsoft Office and Windows 7^TM Professional Upgrade are available to Brown University students at reduced academic pricing. To qualify, all you need is your Brown University email address as proof of enrollment. Software can be purchased before you arrive on campus.

Microsoft Software

Students can buy Microsoft Office through Microsoft's Student Store. All that's needed is a "brown.edu" email address to qualify for a copy of Office for only $99.99 (for Windows) or $119.00 (for Mac versions) through this promotional website. Microsoft Office is a perpetual (one-time purchase) license with products such as Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other titles included in the Office Professional suite, all provided with this offer.

Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System is now available through Windows Anytime Upgrade at the Microsoft Student Store. If you currently own Windows 7 and wish to upgrade, you may download an enhanced version of Windows 7 at the Microsoft Student Store. Upgrade media is available for an additional charge.

Microsoft Student Select

Brown University students have the opportunity to purchase selected Microsoft software titles at academic pricing. These include Office, Project, and Visio for Windows and Office for Macintosh OS X.
