What you can do:
- Keep your laptop in sight or under cover
Visit the Brown Bookstore Technology Center and purchase a good cable and lock (the ones with alarms are a good deterent). Install a laptop recovery product, such as Computrace LoJack for Laptops or FrontDoor Laptop Security Software. In addition, the Department of Public Safety offers safety tips you should read and follow.
- Use a good, strong password to protect its contents
