New Website in the Works
Coming this summer, the ISG website gets a fresh look, a new title, and an enhanced purpose. The site will become "Information Security @ Brown: Data, Privacy & Records Management", reflecting its role as the repository of security standards, principles and best practices for protecting institutional data.

The site will continue to provide ISG's recommendations for protecting personal information and devices as well, organizing its content into three main areas: data protection, securing devices, and guarding privacy.

"Protect Your Data" will include include key documents for data owners and managers, as well as those who access personally identifiable information at Brown as part of their job responsibilities.
"Secure Your Devices" will feature pages on protecting your mobile devices at work, home and on the go.
And "Guard Your Privacy" will provide resources on email, identity theft, filesharing and personal privacy.
In addition, the site will cluster information specifically for those who provide technical support, provide a home for safe computing events such as the annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October, and prominently feature a go-to location for reporting incidents.
Target date for rolling out the site is July 1. Look for an announcement in Morning Mail.
