WebCT for the '04-'05 academic year

Faculty who plan on introducing WebCT into their classes this fall are invited to request their sites now. This will allow ample time to work on WebCT courses over the summer and to seek support from ITG (Instructional Technology Group) if needed.

For those who have previously used WebCT for a course that will be taught again during the upcoming academic year, ITG can also assist you in copying all course content into a fresh site.

To place a request to create, copy or customize your site, as well as to request access or create a course welcome page, visit the WebCT site.

CIS Help Desk Summer Hours

During the summer the Help Desk's Call Center will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and from 7:30AM to 4:00PM on Fridays. It will be closed weekends and holidays. Staff will also be available for Service on Site (SOS) calls from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each business day.

Computer Education classes in June

Computer Education has a full schedule of classes running through the end of June, including lessons in: Excel, FileMaker Pro 6 & 7, Web Requisitions, Endnote, Esperant, XML, IT Planning, Outlook, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Windows Basics and Word. Most sessions are 90 minutes long and all are free to Brown staff. Classes fill quickly, so early registration is recommended. Register online at www.brown.edu/cis/training.
