The group "Isto não é América: Thinking with the Global South" is dedicated to exploring theoretical and creative approaches centered around the Global South, with a specific emphasis on Latin America. Our discussions intend to delve into colonization and its aftermaths, recognizing them as both a material and symbolic condition that has profoundly shaped the Global South. Exploring a range of themes, including gender, race, sexuality, queer theories, state violence, extractivism, futurity, and crisis.
