Teaching at Brown

Working in the context of the open curriculum brings unique rewards. Brown students are willing to take risks, and so the classroom can become a place of exploration and exchange. Most importantly, because students have chosen their classes freely, they are committed to the material in a very real way. For this reason, Brown faculty report higher levels of satisfaction than their colleagues at comparable institutions.
