The Education Department at Brown University offers undergraduates a concentration in Education Studies with two areas of emphasis, "History & Policy" and "Human Development." Additionally, undergraduates will find two opportunities within our Teacher Education programs, UTEP and B-MAT. A concentrationin Education Studies prepares the undergraduate for a career in the field of education while Teacher Education programs prepare students for a career in teaching. The two fields are closely related but are not equivalent, if you are unsure which is right for you, please see an advisor early.
