Currently, many people are having issues accessing Brown VPN in Google Chrome via the web (at vpn.brown.edu) due to an update to the browser. As a reminder, VPN is used to connect to Brown’s network when you’re off campus, allowing you to access resources such as software and library journals. We are hoping the underlying issue will be fixed soon, but in the meantime, here are two workarounds:
Install the client (program) for Mac and Windows by clicking the Windows or Macintosh installation button on the VPN entry in the software catalog.
Use a different browser to connect to VPN via vpn.brown.edu. If you prefer Chrome, you can always open Chrome after visiting vpn.brown.edu in another browser.
