Google has notified us that a specific list of people may have been affected by a recent issue in Gmail that caused some actions while viewing a message to be inadvertently applied to a different message. We have notified that list of people directly, but are posting this as a confirmation that our notification was a legitimate message.

UPDATE: 2/19/2014 4:17pm As of now, the problem with Coeus Data Warehouse has been resolved and it should be fully functional.  If you continue to experience problems with this service, please report them to the Help Desk at (401) 863-4357.

ORIGINAL POST: We are aware of a problem with Coeus Data Warehouse and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: creating reports from Coeus data.  Sponsored projects reports should not be run due to the fact that the warehouse load failed, and data is one day behind.    If you have an urgent Sponsored Projects reporting need, please contact OSP_Reporting@brown.edu for assistance..

First reported in December, the Googledoc phishing scam persists with a variety of subject lines (IMPORTANT DOCUMENT and ... Sent You a Google Doc are two examples).  Many are from Brown addresses (accounts that have been compromised). Do NOT click on the link. If you have not already deleted it, mark the email as phishing and then delete it.  Below are screenshots of two examples.

As of now, the problem with Online Movies - VFNow / OCRA has been resolved and it should be fully functional.

The phishing scam, subject line "INCOMING FAX REPORT" has resurfaced at Brown.  An example follows.  As with similar emails, DO NOT CLICK on the link. If you receive one, either delete it immediately or report it as phishing then delete it.

Due to scheduled maintenance, Department File Services access via webfiles.brown.edu will be unavailable on January 31, 2014 from 6:30am to 8:00am on .  During this time, you will not be able to use access to Department File Services at webfiles.brown.edu.

Original post: Gmail is in a state of degradation. Users are reporting they cannot connect to their email. We are working with Google to solve the issue. We will be posting updates as soon as they come in.

Due to scheduled maintenance, IT Ticketing System (Remedy) will be unavailable on January 15, 2014 from 8:00pm to 10:00pm .  During this time, you will not be able to use use of Remedy for making requests and reporting incidents and problems for information technology applications and services.  Before  8:00pm, please save your work and log out of the system.

Due to scheduled maintenance on CIS firewalls, there will be an outage of Brown's wireless services between 6AM and 4PM on Sunday, January 12. We will strive to complete the work in a shorter timeframe, but wireless services may be unavailable or unstable over much of campus for the day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The ArcGIS License Manager, located on CIS' CFARM server, will undergo maintenance on Monday, December 23 from 7am to 8am. Users of ArcGIS should save their work frequently since there is the potential for data loss.
