Facilities has notified CIS that there are some campus wide power outages occurring. 

Currently some affected areas may experience a loss in network connectivity.

We are monitoring the situation and will update this alert if any other CIS systems become affected.

Starting at 12pm on Friday 10/17, several systems will be unavailable because of the upgrade of Brown's Identity Management System. These systems are MyAccount (Brown's account management website), Activate (for the activation of new Brown accounts), and the Forgot Password functionality which allows you to reset a forgotten password with a mobile phone number.

New versions of these services will be available on Monday, October 20th by the start of business hours.

Workday is running normally.


Workday is currently down. It is expected to be up and running by 6:00pm EST.

 

 


We are aware of a problem with extreme slowness in Workday and are working to identify and resolve the issue.

 

Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: all Human Resources and Financial functions.

The Turnitin assignment submission feature in Canvas may be intermittently unavailable during a scheduled maintenance period on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Please address any questions to itg@brown.edu.

We are aware of a problem with BrownBox (brownbox.brown.edu), CCV's web file storage and sharing service. When we hear it is available, we will mark this alert as resolved.

We are aware of a problem with Google Email - Brown Gmail and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: sporadic delays to delivery of Google-based email at Brown.

Due to scheduled upgrade, 25Live will be unavailable on September 23 from 9:00 PM to Midnight.  During this time, you will not be able to use 25Live is an online interface that sits on top of the existing Resource 25 scheduling database. So please save your work and log out of the system.

We experienced a problem with ASK - Advising SideKick at approx 7:00 am  the issue has been resolved as of 8:05 am.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: access to online advising for undergraduate students, faculty and staff.

RESOLVED:

We have stabilized the issue with slow response while searching oncourses.brown.edu.  

 

 

 

We are aware of a problem with Course Preview Pages and are working to identify and resolve the issue. Some users are experiencing very slow response times using courses.brown.edu, especially when using the Search function and when logged in

As of now, the problem with registering devices on the wireless network is resolved and it should be fully functional.

We are currently experiencing a problem with the portal for registering devices on the wireless network.  
Note that wireless services are NOT affected by this problem, only the registration of printing and gaming devices.
