We are aware of a problem with Department File Services and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: access to Department File Services at webfiles.brown.edu or via a mapped network drive.

We will be posting all updates, including the resolution of the problem, on the alerts section of the IT at Brown homepage at http://www.brown.edu/information-technology - please check regularly for updates.

Service Outage

The Rochester Data Center that houses the PINNACLE application server(s) will be undergoing maintenance on Sunday, September 8, 2013 beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET. The application will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes. Please contact the Service Center at 863-HELP (4357) on Monday and press option 5 to report any service effecting issues.

Services have been restored for Audio & Video Streaming (Wowza). Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

 

We are aware of a problem with  Audio & Video Streaming (Wowza) and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: access to and use of audio and video streaming, including streaming video for Brown events and the viewing of online lectures in EchoCenter.

We are aware of a problem with Lecture Capture (Echo 360) and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: playback of lecture audio, video and/or PowerPoint from the EchoCenter, usually accessed through Canvas or from a link in an email.

We will be posting all updates, including the resolution of the problem, on the alerts section of the IT at Brown homepage at http://www.brown.edu/information-technology - please check regularly for updates.

RESOLVED: 9/4 8:50 a.m. Self-Service Banner is now functioning normally. We appreciate your patience while CIS worked to resolve Self-Service Banner performance issues.

We are aware of a problem with the Mathematica License Server. Currently, Mathematica is inaccessible.

CIS Experienced a service degradation for Banner Self Service from approximately 7:05 to 7:26PM on Tuesday, September 3.    As of now, the problem with Banner Self-Service has been resolved and it should be fully functional.  If you continue to experience problems with this service, please report them to the Help Desk at (401) 863-4357.
