Resolved: 9/3  22:54 - This issue has been resolved.

We are aware of a problem with Lecture Capture (Echo 360) and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: playback of lecture audio, video and/or PowerPoint from the EchoCenter, usually accessed through Canvas or from a link in an email.

We will be posting all updates, including the resolution of the problem, on the alerts section of the IT at Brown homepage at http://www.brown.edu/information-technology - please check regularly for updates.

We are aware of a problem with Banner Self-Service and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: slowness when accessing selfservice.brown.edu for information such as course schedules, grades, admissions information, and more.

CIS Experienced a service degradation for Banner Self Service from approximately 7:05 to 7:26PM on Tuesday, September 3.    As of now, the problem with Banner Self-Service has been resolved and it should be fully functional.  If you continue to experience problems with this service, please report them to the Help Desk at (401) 863-4357.

Self-Service Banner is functioning normally at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

RESOLVED: 2:14 PM 9/3/2013 This issue is now resolved.

We have been in contact with the vendor and are aware that Canvas has been performing slowly and we will keep you posted as updates are available to us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you.

RESOLVED: 9/3/2013 11:30 AM This issue is now resolved. ASK is functioning properly.

We are aware of a problem with ASK (Advising SideKick) and are working to identify and resolve the issue. Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: intermittent file download failures. Certain files may not be downloading properly. A notification has been posted within the ASK portal.

Due to scheduled maintenance, Remedy Ticketing System will be unavailable this morning from 9:30AM to 10AM.  During this time, you will not be able to use use of Remedy or the Online Ticketing System for making requests and reporting problems for information technology applications and systems.

Resolved: As of  appoximately 11:30 this issue has been resolved. 

We are aware of a problem with Banner Reporting Database (ODS) and are working to identify and resolve the issue.  Functionality that may be impacted by this problem includes: creating reports based on data from Internet Native Banner that is stored in the Banner Reporting Database.

Resolved:  8/20  6:00am This issue has been resloved.

We identified a data issue that would affect tonight's ODS refresh. To correct this issue, we will be starting the ODS refresh early at 5:00 PM tonight (it normally begins at 11:00 PM

). Starting at 5:00 PM ODS Banner reporting in Cognos will be unavailable until the refresh completes. We expect the ODS refresh to complete around 2:00 AM.

Resolved: 1:00 pm 8/20/2013

As of 12:19 pm today the following services suffered a brief outage: Coeus, Cognos, AppWorx, Banner INB, Banner Reporting Database (ODS), and Self Service Banner. As of 1:00 pm all services  should be fully functional.
