Issues with the Automatic Setup Wizard

The most common problem on a Mac is that Java isn't installed or enabled, and configuration tool (wifi.brown.edu) uses Java to install the profile.

  1. Check if you have Java enabled by visiting http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
  2. If you can't get http://wifi.brown.edu to work, try another browser - Firefox usually works the best.

This is becoming a less frequent issue, but if you have an old version of the Mac OS (10.6 or earlier), you may have to open Keychain Access and delete Brown wireless related entries, then go through the wifi.brown.edu process again.

Also, after going through the instructions to connect to Brown, confirm that the order of your preferred networks has Brown listed first.
