Connect Devices without Browsers to the Wired Network

Authors list

When you connect a computer to the Brown network with an ethernet cable, you have to go through a registration process in a browser. Since not all devices have a browser, and cannot complete this process, you can request to connect other devices by following these instructions:

  1. Find the MAC address of your device.
  2. Fill out the Network Registration form.
  3. You will receive an email when your device can be connected to the network.

NOTE: No personal wireless routers will be allowed in the dorms since they can interfere with Brown's wireless network. If using a personal router, the wireless capability must be disabled.
