Beatrice Elizabeth Coleman, class of 1925, is Brown's oldest living alum. She graduated from Hope High School in Providence before entering the Women's College at Brown, where she majored in Latin. After teaching in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, Coleman returned to work in Providence. Coleman is a longtime member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. This year, she celebrated her 108th birthday.
