Advice and purchase repair parts for users who want to fix/upgrade their own computers.

In order to promote and maintain the security of Brown data and its network infrastructure, firewalls have been strategically installed as part of the overall network architecture. Requests for the opening or closing firewall ports are reviewed, researched, and acted upon by the Information Security Group, who manages this service.

Web-based access to financial accounting data.

System to manage employee job, benefits, payroll and personal data.

Employees can update some information via Web PDF and Web Open Enrollment.

System for managing conflict of interest assurance and reporting forms submitted by research faculty.

Web access to course registration, admission, student accounts receivable and financial aid administrative functions. 

Allows callers to be automatically transferred to an extension without the intervention of an operator or administrative assistant. This service provides a list of recorded selections for callers to choose from based on menu options. For example: "press 1 for Accounts and Passwords, press 2 for Computer Assistance".

This service is only available for academic purposes.  Videos, Audio Cassettes, DVDs and CDs can be copied or transferred; foreign VHS (PAL, SECAM) can be converted to US standard (NTSC). Copyright protected materials cannot be duplicated without prior written permission from the copyright holder.

Financial application for managing the University's financial accounting, accounts payable and purchasing.

A variety of electronic and administrative services are made available to Brown Community members who require access to the services.  New Brown faculty, staff and students automatically receive some services (such as email and network access) when activating their account.
