There are several options for protecting systems and applications from unforeseen events. CIS will work with system administrators to select the best method to protect Brown's critical applications.
The Center for Computation and Visualization (CCV) provides both virtual and physical hosting of Linux servers. Virtual hosting is aimed at departments who want access to a server but don't want to purchase or maintain the hardware. Physical hosting requires that the department purchase the hardware but it is located in CCV's machine room.
