Brown-Marine Biology Lab Graduate Program in Biological and Environmental Sciences unites MBL and Brown’s combined research and education expertise in biology, environmental sciences and medical research to offer talented graduate students enhanced interdisciplinary research opportunities and enriched academic offerings.
The partnership will focus on three key scientific themes: ecosystems, environmental health and microbiomes — populations of microbes that play key roles in the human body and the environment. In addition to fostering basic research, an outreach initiative is aimed at policy, translation, and science-based decision-making will also help to guide the partnership’s research collaborations and academic offerings and support solutions for critical human health and environment questions.
