Digital Society Initiative Hosts Day of Data

Day of DataDay of DataArtists, biologists, humanists, engineers, and social scientists from Brown University, the Marine Biology Laboratory, Rhode Island School of Design, and the University of Rhode Island gathered on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Brown’s Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) for a “Day of Data.” Participants in the daylong program explored the challenges of a data-driven society and sought ways to collaborate to seize the limitless opportunities that data provides to enhance, focus and accelerate innovation in research, technology and education.

Huffington Post blogger Frank Morgan writes about his experience at the Day of Data in "Math Now -- Commencement Can Wait".
