Technology Ventures Office (TVO)

The Technology Ventures Office strives to quickly disseminate university-generated technology, faciliate the production of new products and processes, and generate new employment opportunities for the production, distribution, and use of new products.

 

Research Protections Office (RPO)

The RPO staff provides administrative support and information to researchers in the process of preparing protocols for human (IRB) and animal (IACUC) research.

 

Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP)

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) supports Brown University faculty and staff in the acquisition, performance, and administration of projects and programs funded from sources outside the University.

 

 Office of Research Opportunities
The Office of Research Opportunities works with faculty, staff, and key university administrators to develop and implement procedures and strategies that increase institutional research competitiveness.

 

Research Initiatives Office
The Research Initiatives Office supports interdisciplinary research initiatives by increasing awareness of Brown's unique interdisciplinary research strengths, building critical national/international partnerships and enhancing and diversifying sources of sponsored funding.

 

 International Research Administration

The office of International Research Administration strives to foster, encourage, and enhance international research. We facilitate international collaborations and help assure compliance with Brown University policy, as well as state and federal rules, regulations, and laws.

 

Rhode Island Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RICIE)
RICIE is a collaborative state-wide effort to cultivate technology entrepreneurship. Brown University is a co-founder of the center, which helps Rhode Island-based entrepreneurs, researchers and existing companies create, grow and evolve new and sustainable technology ventures. The center promotes commercialization of research and technology rising out of academic inquiry, and contributes to the state's economic benefit.
